Transition at Chestnut Street

At Chestnut Street we welcome all children and their families into our school. We work in partnership with parents and carers to support the whole family through times of transition and change.

We aspire for all children in our school family to have a positive experience of transition; at whatever age and stage of life this may happen, to ensure well-being, development and learning for all pupils, at all times.

We acknowledge that change is daunting and creates a range of different emotions. Every child needs to feel secure, happy and supported emotionally in order to thrive. We value all children and their families and aspire to create a sense of belonging for both children and their families in order that all will have opportunities to succeed.

We look forward to welcoming you to our school.
