In our Year 3/4 classes we aim to create independent learners who strive to meet their true potential whilst knowing that they have the full support of all of the adults and their friends to achieve that.
The children will take part in many different learning opportunities to ensure they have a wide range of experiences both in and outside the classroom.
We always welcome parent helpers in our classes so feel free to get in contact and we will find some time for you to come in and see what we are up to.
Children will require a PE kit for both indoors and outdoors. If possible a tracksuit or jogging bottoms would be useful when we are outdoors. Plimsolls are suitable for indoors and trainers are suitable for outdoors.
3/4DW - Indoor PE is Monday and outdoor PE is Tuesday.
3/4JW - Swimming is Monday and outdoor PE is Tuesday.
3/4M - Indoor PE is Tuesday and outdoor PE is Monday.
Each term the children will be given homework that is related to the topic we are looking at in class. Homework is a fun and hands-on opportunity for the children to explore the topic further. We often share and celebrate any super homework that the children bring in with the rest of the class.
This term we would like the children to produce a piece of independent work about the oceans; this could be a poem about the ocean, a presentation about ocean life, issues affecting our oceans or even a piece of ocean art.
This will need to be in by Monday 8th July so dojos can be handed out before the end of term celebrations for Chestnut Behaviour Champions.
Please message the class teacher for any questions regarding homework.

Term 6 Church School Value - Trust
Term 6 - Blue Abyss
Throughout this topic we will be learning all about the ocean, different sea creatures and how they have adapted to the different environments that they are found in. We are also going to investigate the impact of pollution on our oceans and the ways that we can help solve this issue.
To learn more about this topic the children will be going on a trip to Skegness Aquarium where we will have a guided tour around the complex. This will give the children the opportunity to ask questions and delve even further into this topic.
