At Ruskington Chestnut Street Primary Academy, we value art and design and want all our children to: -

• Be engaged, inspired and challenged whilst experimenting, inventing and creating their own works of art, crafts and designs.
• Experience a wide ranging, well sequenced progression of skills to support their art development 
• Show an appreciation of a variety of cultural heritages and range of artists

Underpinning this is a key focus on improving children’s communication skills, vocabulary and the ambition that all children will read regardless of background, needs or ability.
